Do you read Real Simple magazine? I do and have for many years. One of my all-time favorite magazines published my Instagram photo in their "Your Words" section! An awesome and unexpected opportunity adding to my bucket list!
In response to “What’s the brightest, most colorful thing in your home”:
I have a handblown glass hummingbird feeder sitting in my kitchen window for the winter. It goes outside during hummingbird season, but it is so beautiful and colorful that I decided to set it in the window to enjoy in their “off season”.
Wild animal encounter. Philadelphia Zoo. In 1959 when I was age 5. Feeding the elephants peanuts as they reached w/trunks over a low wall. One got “real affectionate” & wrapped his trunk, completely around me in a hug! More surprised than scared. I remember feeling all that rough skin & hairs on my bare arms! Quite a weird sensation!
The weirdest place I’ve fallen asleep was in my mom and dad’s car. Back then then seatbelts weren’t needed.
I worked hard all day to go go a concert with a friend. It. Was a Kiss Concert as soon as I saw them come out Gene Simmons started spitting blood and sticking his tongue out. I don’t know why I fell asleep. It was a very loud concert .even I don’t know how I slept to the end,
