My Favorite Finds from the Tucson Gem Show
Share
Every February, I find myself wandering the vast, glittering world of the Tucson Gem Show—and every year, I come home feeling inspired and amazed. This time, I brought back a collection of stones that feel especially me: sparkly, unexpected, and full of creative potential.
It took me a little while to share (life, travel, and everything in between), but now that spring is here, it feels like the perfect moment to invite you in. Come see what I found in Tucson—there’s a mix of old favorites, fresh discoveries, and plenty of pieces just waiting to become something magical.

When I first started attending the Gem Show, I didn’t always know what I was looking for—aside from the tiny 3mm beauties and anything that really stood out. But this year felt different. I came in with a clearer vision of who I wanted to source from and a better sense of the gems I wanted to turn into jewelry.
This year, I’m also shifting things a bit—focusing less on structured collections and more on one-of-a-kind pieces. I still love designing with intention, but lately, I’ve felt more inspired to create freely, letting the stones and the moment guide me. That means more frequent drops and more unique pieces, just because.

Here’s a list of the stones in the order shown in the images above.
- Opals
- Sapphires, Phenakite and Spinels
- Moonstone beads
- Aventurines, Quartz, Jasper, Jade, Moonstones, Tourmaline, Sphene, Sodalite, etc.
- Moss Agates, and strands of Spinels and Sapphires.
- Petrified wood gemstones
- Opal beads
I'm definitely a bit obsessed with opals, and I'm really excited about the variety I picked up this time, especially with the addition of natural gemstone beads. This is just a small sample of the gemstones in my growing collection. I'll share more as the year goes on!
In the meantime, if a particular stone speaks to you, let me know! I’d love to create something special and just for you—a piece that’s entirely your own.
