DESIGNER SERIES | Athena Hoops S2019
The Athena Hoops, a new addition to the Warrior Collection, made their debut in mid-summer of 2019.
This earring shape has a more streamlined appearance that is refined with minimal elegance. One of my favorite go-to styles because they match with almost any outfit! Additionally, the Athena Hoop earrings remain one of the most popular wire earring types in the CLJ line.
In late spring or early summer, I was making a batch of Warrior Hoops for one of my retail partners and I made a mistake while making a pair of earrings. Once bent, the wire cannot be reversed; otherwise, it would weaken and break. So I kept everything as is, and thus the Athena style was created. Although the design was created by mistake, it is sometimes referred to as a bobby pin.
One year later, in May 2020, I included a bigger version because, well, why not?The the longer version adds length for those who want an elongated, slender earring style that is both minimal and striking.
