I have been reflecting so much motherhood these last few weeks and all the joys and obstacles of being a mom. We take on so much, but overall, being a mom is truly one of the best things I could ask for.
“[Motherhood is] the biggest gamble in the world. It is the glorious life force. It’s huge and scary—it’s an act of infinite optimism.” – Gilda Radner

A mother's heart is full of love when it comes to their children. Being a mom is not easy and anyone who otherwise are not telling their own truth or do not have children of their own. I love being a mom. Every day I wake up with a full heart seeing my babies and watching them grown, becoming their own, unique self. They make me proud of what they are accomplishing on a daily basis. I enjoy laughing with them, hugging and kissing them, learning from them and just being in their presence. I try to soak in every moment I can with them knowing they will eventually leave the nest.
“There’s no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.” – Jill Churchill
There are so many levels of emotions to being a mom, we forget to take care of ourselves. Self-care is so important to incorporate into our lives without the guilt. It's ok to take time off, even for only an hour or buy something for yourself every now and then.
“I realized when you look at your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know.” – Mitch Albom
I like to spend my day (or weekend) relaxing, having brunch with a few of my mom friends, dinner with my family and seeing a movie alone with a big bucket of popcorn loaded with lots and lots of butter. Today, I'm doing a giveaway for mom's only! You'll receive a care package of handmade soap, lip balm, soy candle, sweet treats and $60 eGift card to use at cindyliebel.com.
“We have a secret in our culture, and it’s not that birth is painful. It’s that women are strong.” – Laura Stavoe Harm
