It's late and I've been working hard getting the new collection ready for launch in February. During the winter months, I typically work inside, b/c it's just too cold working in my workshop in the evenings. Usually by March, through the end of December, I'm practically living out here, consistently prepping for shows or catching up on orders. But this year, we've had warmer nights in the mid 40's to mid 50's. Can't help but take advantage of this nice weather.
Last summer, I spent some time experimenting with new techniques, taking classes as I continue to evolve in the realm of jewelry design. I enjoy learning more and more and being around like minded and creative individuals. It motivates me in creating and sharing the process. This new technique is called Keum-Boo. An ancient Korean technique, infusing 23.5K gold foil to precious metals, like fine silver or sterling silver. It's mind boggling how therapeutic and unique this process can transform your jewelry dramatically.
Here is a sneak peak of a pair of earrings dressed up in 23.5K gold, available February.
